Pre Millenium Tension (PMT) is the trend toward wacky and increasingly strange behaviour, as we near the end of the current millenium. Note the increase in alleged UFO sightings over the last 50 years, and escalation to abductions in the 70s. Note the self-destructive cults, and cults obsessed with the destruction of unbelievers. Note the Tamagotchi craze.
DOn't stop me now, I'm just getting started. This page will grow and grow! Never fear.
Change the world, not your mind!
If the world around you makes you unhappy, don't pop a pill. Be pro-active, not pro-zactive. Doctors too readily "address" problems with pharmaceutical "answers" I don't doubt that anti-depressants may help those people suffering from clinical depression (having been one such person myself!), but can products like Prozac really make each and every one of us "super normal person", and do we need a drugs to achieve such a desirable state? Should we not change the world first, and then ask how we feel?
If we feel bad about the world, perhaps that's a warning sign that the world needs fixing. There is no "quick fix" to social problems. Whether drugs are legal or otherwise, I have doubts about their ability to improve matters.
